Technology can make a major contribution to achieving the strategic objectives of a Learning and Skills provider – but only when strategic managers have a vision for what it can do. 

New and emerging technology can improve the quality of teaching and learning, increase enrolments, raise retention, achievement and success rates, as well as enhancing the learner’s experience. It can strengthen the business operation of the organisation.

Support that JISC RSC Northwest offers its learning providers includes:

• Attendance by an adviser, on an annual basis, at an update meeting of the group within a learning provider responsible for ILT strategic planning
• Consultation and advice to Senior Managers on a bespoke level, in accordance with a learning provider’s needs

• Guidance on how the appropriate use of ILT can assist a learning provider in meeting Safeguarding and Equality of Opportunity ‘limiting grade’ expectations
