The term learning technologies refers to a multitude of hardware, software and online resources which can be used to support learning both within and beyond the learning environment.

Support that JISC RSC Northwest offers its learning providers includes:

• Articles, case studies and multimedia content showing how technology can be used for teaching and learning
• Sharing good practice in how learning technologies are being used throughout the region
• Direction to information on classroom technologies such as interactive whiteboards, classroom management systems and voting kits
• Guidance on how technology can be used to monitor learner progress and achievement
• Support for the use of mobile technologies for learning and assessment
• Advice and guidance for using new and emerging technologies
• Access to peer support from around the region
• An equipment loan scheme for testing technology in situ before deciding to invest
• Provision of, and direction to, purchasing advice and guidance
