Learning providers are committed to providing the best for their learners and to complying with legislation, ensuring disadvantaged learners are not disenfranchised. The JISC RSC Northwest works in partnership with the expert accessibility service, JISC TechDis.

Support that JISC RSC Northwest offers its learning providers includes:

  • Advice for, and resources to support, the delivery of policies and procedures for Inclusion, Learning Support and Equal Opportunities
  • Guidance on how the appropriate use of ILT can assist learning providers in meeting Equal Opportunities Ofsted 'limiting grade’ expectations
  • Advice on the use of technology to not only cover legal ‘reasonable adjustments’ but also to enhance learning for all
  • Direction in obtaining legal advice
  • Consultation and advice for Learning Support Managers
  • Access to peer support from around the region
  • Facilitation and support for peer networks
  • Direction to, and identification of, inclusive learning tools and online resources
  • Provision of inclusive learning tools, and regional and/or in-house online resources training
