Map an Address

IDevice Icon Using Outlook!

"As an RSC eLearning Adviser, I visit many of the learning providers in the northwest; I have used lots of different online mapping programs to find outwhere I'm going"

I just discovered that Outlook can automatically map the address of any of my contacts by looking it up on the Live Local maps website (I can hear a lot of voices claiming "I know that!)...

Image showing Contacts being selected in Outlook
  • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.

  • Open Outlook

  • Click on Contacts
Image showing selection of name
  • Double-click the contact you want to locate (in my example I'm clicking on my own details)

  • If the contact has more than one address then go to the Addresses section and click the down arrow to select the type of address you want (Business, Home, or Other). (In this example I've selected Business)

  • Go to the Actions menu, select Display Map of Address as shown

  • Your web browser will open up and display a map of the contact's address using the Live Local maps web site; here you can zoom in/out, get directions to/from, plus much more...
