This initiative is led jointly by Becta and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and will lead to...

the creation of a national peer support network, by encouraging providers with a track record of successfully embedding technology into their learning and teaching to create a forum to share effective practice with other providers.

An invitation for these 'supporting exemplar' providers to submit bids was issued on 21 November 2007, with the selection process taking place during January 2008. A copy of the letter to eligible providers can be found under 'related links'.

The Technology Exemplar Network prospectus and the invitation to participate for supporting exemplar providers are now available at:

http://learningandskills.becta.org.uk/display.cfm?resID=34345

The closing date for applications for exemplar status is 31 December 2007.

If after reading, you still have questions, please contact Meagan McKeaugue at exemplarnetwork@becta.org.uk

All participants will receive revenue grants of between £7,000 and £7,500 to support the costs of releasing staff to deliver the requirements of the Network.

Capital grants of up to £50,000 will also be available to support each provider's continuing journey towards e-maturity.
