RSC-Northwest eMagazine Supplement
Wherever, whenever, whoever
Ideally...
- learners should be able to access their ePDP Portfolios wherever they are engaged in the learning process.
The learner and whoever supports their learning and progress should be able to share, review and update appropriate ePDP Portfolio content (On-going assignments/projects/tasks etc) whenever they want to - with 24/7 online access. - an ePDP Portfolio should empower learners by enabling them to participate more actively in the planning and evaluation of their own learning. Each learner should own their ePDP Portfolio in which they can express aspirations, set and review personal goals and clearly see the progress they're making and the feedback they've received.
However, to ensure every learner's eAssessment or eRARPA Portfolio is authentic and accurate, any information entered by the learner from their ePDP Portfolio must be validated by a tutur/trainor/assessor involved in their learning.
Regardless of where a learner studies or whether they move learning providers, their ePDP Portfolio should stay with them and continue to keep everyone involved in current learning, informed about a learner's personal learning needs and goals.
Remember, you will have learners (between 20 and 33%) who will not have access to the internet at home. Tools that are 'portable' and or can be used off line will provide better options for these learners.
