RSC-Northwest eMagazine Supplement
Free tools to gather, record and present evidence
As many of you know already, there are a huge number of freely available Open Source authoring applications to assist teachers/academics and learners in the publishing of web content without the need to become proficient in HTML or XML markup or Java or any other programming languages.
for example, eXe, the tool I've used to put this publication together, can export content as...
- IMS Content Packages,
- SCORM 1.2 ,
- IMS Common Cartridges,
- iPod Notes
- or as simple self-contained web pages.
It has a number of iDevices (Tools) including those for Assessment...
- Cloze Activity
- Multi-choice
- Multi-select
- SCORM Quiz
- and True-False Question.
I have tried, within this publication, to flag the different iDevices I've used. You may then see the potential of eXe as a tool for eRARPA and ePDP Portfolios especially as eXe can be used off line!
The Samples show how eXe and just a few of the Free Tools available, can be used to gather, record and present evidence for ePortfolios!
