Join the UK's largest festival of learning by running an event for Adult Learners' Week 2008 (17-23 May)!

Adult Learners' Week is the UK's largest and longest running learning campaign. Co-ordinated by NIACE (the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education), it is now in its seventeenth year.

Held each May, it encourages thousands of adults, whatever their age and background, to give learning a go: whether it's learning for pleasure, catching up on skills missed out on at school or getting that new job or promotion.

Why get involved?

Adult Learners' Week is an opportunity for you to make a difference by inspiring others to give learning a go. Whether you're an employer, a provider of learning or a potential partner there are many benefits to getting involved.

Every year thousands of events are run across the country - in schools, workplaces, shops, cafes, museums, libraries, prisons, colleges and parks. You can be as creative as you like and there's plenty of materials to help you make it a success!

Campaign publicity can be ordered which motivates people to ring the learndirect advice line (0800 100 900) - providing free advice on learning opportunities and taster events in the callers' local areas.
