Before looking at Scrumy you may wish to...

• ...Think about a Manager's Role (Note: This role applies to all Managers e.g. it could be the VLE Steering Group, Managing the VLE Implementation using tools like scrumy)
  Take a look at my first attempt at using Go!Animate, another free Tool-4-All, at http://goanimate.com/go/movie/0RdKS4KobOrI/1. You may want to watch it a second time using the pause to consider the five kinds of tasks which are generic to all management.

Managing VLE Implementation: - As shown in the animation, the VLE Steering Group, also have to deal with the 5 kinds of tasks generic to all management and this becomes even more important when their implementation involves collaborative tasks/projects etc.

The VLE Steering Group can/could, by using Scrumy, provide evidence of both Planning and Management; Scrumy provides a means of Recording And Reporting Progress and Achievement (RARPA) of the VLE Implementation.

The VLE Steering Group Members can be encouraged to...

• 'Set up Stories' (For many these may be Specific criteria they have to address)- if collaborative then assignment of tasks comes into play (The assignment field can be used for anything users want. Many users use it for their names. Others use it to indicate the importance of tasks. For my projects I do a little bit of both. Feel free to get creative. In practice all it does is assign a color to the task and adds names etc to the resulting drop-down.)
• 'Identify tasks for completion', for each 'story' - as above assignments can be used to indicate importance or collaborative team member names.
  • tasks must meet 3 criteria
    • Necessary
    • Realistic
    • Agreed
  • tasks must have three components
    • Result
    • Deadline
    • Limits
• 'Update and Communicate progress' using features of Scrumy.

Note: The Steering Group Members should be encouraged to 'invite' Managers to view their Scrumy(s)
