Assessment

Assessment of Learning can be translated into VLE speak as...

  • an essay paper or document that can be uploaded by the learner and/or
  • an online test in the virtual learning environment.
    Marks can be fed back into the system (or automatically calculated by the system in the online test scenario) for the practitioner to track assessment and ultimately understanding.
Note: Consider how you want to be able to store grades and feedback in your steering group - make sure that what you want the system to do will be possible.

Assessment for Learning...

  • requires direct feedback to the learner after tasks are completed. The learner needs this feedback to be in a positive light to continue the motivation, however they also need direction if they are going wrong.
