Mad Libs
Mad Libs, a classic creative word game, can be played online.
Currently there are two games to choose from - Mad Libs for President & American Idol.
Users select...
- adjectives,
- nouns, and
- verbs etc., from randomly generated lists.
Note: Users also have an option of typing in their own word choices.
When the Mad Lib has been completed users can print the resulting text.
Mad Libs offer a widget that can be installed in a blog, website, eXe resource etc., allowing visitors to play Mad Libs.
I can see this being used...
- on an interactive white board where ESOL/EFL/ESL/Key (Functional) Skills etc., learners could collaborate/interact/discuss if selected words are adjectives/nouns/verbs/etc. and/or suggest words of their own.
- by practitioners to create texts that, because the words 'added' are highlighted in blue, learners could identify each word as an adjectives/nouns/verbs/etc.
