Convert to swf

As you will have seen, CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on a computer and create industry-standard AVI video files.

Using its built-in SWF Producer, CamStudio can turn AVIs into...

To change an AVI into a SWF...
.
Step 1 
  • Using the Options menu Select Record to Flash Options; a further menu appears...

    Make sure all three options have a small black tick against them as shown above (If they don't click on them this will put a tick against them; you may have to repeat this step until all three have ticks)
Step 2
  •  Using the Tools Menu select SWF Producer (Converts AVI to Flash)...

    The SWF Producer Opens...

  • Using the File menu Select Open...

    the Open AVI dialog box will appear...

  • Locate the AVI file, select it and click the Open button
    The AVI file will now appear in the SWF Producer where you can use the Play tools to check it is the correct file.

  • Using the File Menu select Convert to SWF...

    The  dialog box, as shown below appears...

  • Leave the default settings, making changes only in the Behavior section if required
    e.g.
  1. If you want the SWF to Autostart check the check-box (otherwise it needs to be unchecked)
  2. If you want the SWF to Loop check the check-box (otherwise it needs to be unchecked)
The image above shows both unchecked (it wont Autostart or Loop)
  • When the settings are appropriate for your needs, click the OK button.
  1. A SWF file and an HTML page will be produced in the same location as the original file

  2. The HTML page will be opened in your browser for testing.
