Zoom and/or Stretch the Track

When editing a recording, it is sometimes useful to be able to...

  1. zoom (a Visual Horizontal stretch or compression) and/or
  2. stretch (Vertical Visual stretch or contract)...

To Zoom...
  • Select the Zoom Tool...

  • Move the cursor over the recorded track...

    Either - Left Click To Stretch Horizontally Note: how much easier to identify the different parts of the recording...Image of Recorded track after left click
    Or - Right Click to compress Horizontally Note: how much more of the recording can be seen...

It should be noted that the scale above the recording is the time in seconds;


To Stretch... (This enlarges or compresses the vertical scale)
  • Make sure you have the Selection Tool Selected

  • Move the cursor over the bottom edge of the recording window; note the cursor changes to a double-headed arrow...

  • Click-n-drag
    Either down
    to stretch vertically...
