A switchboard operator

To change a recorded voice so that it sounds like a switchboard operator...

  • Using Audacity, open the Recorded voice you wish to change

  • Move the mouse over the 'grey control section' at the start of the track, as shown here...

    ...and left-click...

    This is the quick way to select all of this track; the following image shows the result... Image showing the whole track selected
    Note:
    the change in colour showing the track has been selected.
  • Click on the Effect Menu and then High Pass Filter...

  • Change the Cutoff frequency to 1015

  • Click OK
  • Use the Effect Menu to select Repeat High Pass Filter

  • Repeat this 5 times or more if necessary
  • Click on the Effect Menu and then Normalise

    Click OK
