A robot

To change a recorded voice so that it sounds like a robot...

  • Using Audacity, open the Recorded voice you wish to change

  • Move the mouse over the 'grey control section' at the start of the track, as shown here...

    ...and left-click...

    This is the quick way to select all of this track; the following image shows the result... Image showing the whole track selected
    Note:     the change in colour showing the track has been selected.
  • Click on the Effect Menu and then Delay...

  • In the dialog box that appears...
    • Change the Decay amount to 10
    • Change the Delay time to 0.009
    • Change the Number of echos to 30

  • Click OK
  • Click on the Effect Menu again and select Repeat Delay

  • Repeat this 5 times or more if necessary
    Export the end product as an mp3. Example of the 'changed voice' - Sound enough like a robot for you?
