Introduction
First things first...
The Regional Support Centre (RSC) Northwest supports Learning Providers to empower all stakeholders to use the internet, as well as other on and offline technologies, positively, safely and effectively.
This calls for a shared responsibility for the protection of the rights and needs of all stakeholders, in particular learners, by government, learning providers, parents, media, employers and all others relevant agencies.
RSC Northwest's partners work closely together to share...
- best practice;
- information; and
- resources.
...they interacts with...
- Sector partners;
- learning providers; and
- practitioners
...with the aim of empowering stakeholders to bridge the digital divide between...
- home; and
- the learning environment;
- workplace; and
- generations.
RSC Northwest...
- monitors and addresses emerging trends;
- seeks to reinforce the image of the web as a place to learn;
- aims to raise Internet safety-awareness standards;
- promotes the intelligent use of information technology; and
- supports the development of information literacy for all.
